Output flanges FA, FB, FC, FD, FE

An output flange bolts the gearbox or gear motor directly onto the machine structure. The FA, FB, FC, FD and FE flanges give a rigid and precise mount, which holds the drive in position and keeps the connection stable while the machine runs. That makes them the fixing to use where mounting space is limited or the installation has to stay compact, because the drive is carried on the machine itself instead of a separate structure around it.

Output flanges FA, FB, FC, FD and FE for mounting gearboxes

The flange type follows the gearbox series and the application it serves, so tell us the series and how the unit meets the machine and we confirm which of FA to FE fits. The same flanges take a gearbox on its own or a complete gear motor. Send the model from the gearbox plate with a drawing or photo of the mounting face and we quote within one working day.

Questions about the FA to FE series

What does an output flange do?

It fixes the gearbox or gear motor directly to the machine structure. The flange face carries the unit rigidly and precisely, so the drive holds its position and the connection stays stable in use. It also keeps the drive package compact, which is what makes it the usual choice where mounting space around the unit is limited.

Which flange do I need, FA, FB, FC, FD or FE?

That depends on the gearbox series and on the way the drive meets your machine. We match the flange type to the series and to the application, rather than to the frame size alone. Send us the model from the gearbox plate and a drawing or photo of the mounting face, and we confirm which of FA to FE to use and quote it.

Can I flange-mount a complete gear motor?

Yes. The FA to FE flanges take a gearbox on its own or a gear motor with the motor already fitted, because the flange bolts to the gear unit and then to the machine structure. The mount holds the drive in position while it runs. Tell us which gearbox series the motor is built onto and we match the flange to it.
