Single-phase 230 V electric motors

Where there is no three-phase supply, a single-phase motor runs the machine from a 230 V socket: compressors, saws, small conveyors, pumps and agricultural equipment. Capacitor-run motors for loads that start light, capacitor-start motors for loads that start under weight. Same IEC frames and flanges as the three-phase range, so they fit the same gearboxes.

Main features

  • 0.12 to 3 kW

  • Capacitor run or capacitor start

  • Same IEC frames as three phase

  • IP55, B3, B5, B14

Questions we get asked

Capacitor start or capacitor run?

Capacitor run for loads that start unloaded, like fans and centrifugal pumps. Capacitor start and run for anything that starts under load: compressors, conveyors, mixers.
