Bevel helical gear motors
Where a worm unit would be too inefficient or too small, the bevel helical gear motor keeps the right-angle layout with a spiral bevel stage and helical stages behind it. Efficiency stays around 95 percent at any ratio, the torque capacity is far higher, and the unit runs continuously without the heat a worm stage builds up.
Heavy conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, mixers, wastewater screens and any right-angle drive above about 4 kW or on a 24-hour duty.

Questions we get asked
When is bevel helical worth the extra cost over worm?
When the unit runs more than about eight hours a day, when the ratio is high, or when the power is above 4 kW. The efficiency difference alone can pay the price gap back within a year of continuous running.
