Terms of sale
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Who you are dealing with
GearMotorsUK is the UK partner of STM Polska. These terms apply to every quotation we issue and every order we accept. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell; a contract exists when we confirm your order in writing.
Quotations
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the information you give us. Where we size a product from your application data, the selection is made in good faith from that data; you remain responsible for confirming it suits the machine, the duty and the installation. Prices exclude VAT and delivery unless the quotation says otherwise.
Orders, payment and delivery
Lead times on a quotation are our best estimate at the date of quoting and are confirmed when the order is accepted. Payment terms are as stated on the quotation. Delivery is to a UK mainland address by courier or pallet; the risk in the goods passes on delivery, and title passes when we have been paid in full. Please check the goods on arrival and tell us about damage or shortages within two working days.
Warranty
Products carry the manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the period stated on the quotation, from the date of delivery. The warranty does not cover wear items, misuse, incorrect installation or wiring, operation outside the rated duty, or units opened by anyone other than an authorised repairer. Our liability is limited to repair or replacement of the product, and we are not liable for consequential loss, including downtime, to the extent the law allows.
Returns
Standard stock items may be returned within 14 days of delivery with our agreement, unused and in their original packing, subject to a handling charge and the cost of carriage. Items made or configured to order cannot be returned unless faulty.
Business customers
We sell to businesses. If you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights that these terms do not reduce.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction.
